Matt Bell, Managing Director of SSS with Ankush Malhotra, Group CEO of Element Logic
Safer Storage Systems (SSS), a leading Australian warehouse solutions provider and local pallet racking manufacturer, has been acquired by Element Logic®, the first and largest AutoStore® partner worldwide and warehouse automation technology provider.
It expands Element Logic’s geographical footprint into ANZ, introducing a strong portfolio of automation software and equipment to the region.
The strategic move marks a major expansion of SSS’s capabilities and positions the business as a pivotal multi-technology, full-spectrum automation solution provider in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Continuity with Added Strength
SSS will continue to operate with existing leadership, teams, and services in place. Local manufacturing remains a cornerstone of the business and is set to grow further. For customers and partners, this means continuity in relationships and projects – now with the added strength of Element Logic’s global automation technology and software stack.
“This is an evolution, not a change in direction. We’ve built momentum in recent years, with the growth of our team and capabilities, particularly in automation, and this is the logical next step.” Says Matt Bell, Managing Director and Co-owner at Safer Storage Systems. “Our team, service and values remain steadfast. Production of our Silverline® Pallet Racking continues and our investment in local manufacturing remains strong. What changes is the scale of what the business can now deliver.”
A Unified Offering
The combined capabilities bring together SSS’s local solutions expertise and Australian-made racking with Element Logic’s global automation ecosystem, including AutoStore™, intelligent software and data-driven solution optimisation.
Customers benefit from a simpler, more connected pathway to automation and the efficiency benefits of working with a single local supplier. This translates to fewer touchpoints, reduced margin stacking, faster deployment and clearer accountability throughout the lifecycle of warehouse projects.
Aligned Vision for Growth
‘Australia is a significant growth region for automation, and we share a clear and aligned outlook of where warehousing is heading,’ said Om Shankar, Group COO and CEO APAC of Element Logic. ‘With Safer Storage System’s commitment to smart, scalable solutions and strong local manufacturing capability, we can accelerate automation adoption in the ANZ market with a unified approach.’
‘Australia is one of the most exciting high-potential automation markets globally, and we are proud to join forces with a trusted and forward-looking company like Safer Storage Systems,’ said Ankush Malhotra, Group CEO of Element Logic. ‘Their strong customer relationships, solution-oriented approach and automation capabilities make them an ideal fit for our long-term vision.’
Strengthening Australian Manufacturing
As part of its growth, SSS has commissioned a state-of-the-art upright roll-forming machine for its Melbourne facility, expanding local production of its Silverline® Pallet Racking range. This investment strengthens domestic manufacturing at a time when Australian supply chains are demanding greater speed, resilience and sustainability.
“Local production is a strategic advantage,” Matt said. “Combined with Element Logic’s automation software and technology, we can deliver a complete onshore solution that meets the performance, safety and sustainability expectations of modern warehouse operators.”
Looking Ahead
With the existing SSS leadership, teams and services remaining in place, customers in the ANZ region will enjoy continuity bolstered by the enhanced capabilities that come from being part of a global leader in warehouse technology automation.
In the near term, Safer Storage Systems will continue to operate under its existing brand and will then transition to Element Logic branding.
