Safer Storage Systems has recently commissioned a new upright roll former, marking a significant investment in the future of Australian-made pallet racking.
The investment marks another milestone in the continued growth of the company’s locally manufactured Silverline® Pallet Racking range, which has been produced in Australia since 2021 as a high-quality alternative to imported racking systems.
Following its recent acquisition by global warehouse automation specialist Element Logic, Safer Storage Systems remains committed to strengthening local manufacturing capability to support the evolving needs of warehousing and intralogistics across Australia.
Measuring 50 metres in length, the custom-designed roll former significantly enhances the manufacturing capability behind Silverline® Pallet Racking. The investment increases production capacity while also providing greater flexibility for customised lengths, heights and upright profiles to meet specific operational and site requirements.
As warehouse operations continue to scale and automate, demand is growing for resilient, locally manufactured infrastructure that supports long-term scalability, operational efficiency and supply chain reliability.
For many operators, reliance on overseas supply chains has introduced challenges through shipping delays, freight volatility and extended lead times. Local manufacturing has become an increasingly important strategic advantage, providing greater control, responsiveness and confidence in project delivery.
By expanding its in-house manufacturing operations, Safer Storage Systems is strengthening control across the full project lifecycle, from production scheduling and quality assurance through to delivery timelines and scalability.

This reduction is driven by avoiding international freight, considered material sourcing and local manufacturing processes, helping customers align warehouse infrastructure decisions with broader sustainability and ESG objectives.
